Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has pledged support for the Boankra Inland Port Project. This follows discussions between the Asantehene and Chief Executive for the Ghana Shippers Authority Prof. Ransford Gyampo today, January 16, 2026 at Manhyia during a courtesy call.

According to Prof. Gyampo the call on Otumfuo is ahead of a planned visit by the Ghana Shippers Authority to Manhyia in the coming weeks. The discussions centered on the “need for the completion of Phase One of the Boankra Project. He pledged his support to help us get the needed funding to complete the Boankra Project” Prof. Gyampo disclosed to Accra News Online.
