The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has issued a strong warning to members of the public against attempting to bribe police officers, stressing that such acts will no longer secure freedom but will instead result in public disgrace.
Speaking at a ceremony held in honour of the Ghana Police Service, the IGP said the culture within the Service is undergoing a significant transformation. According to him, discipline, professionalism and hard work are now the key drivers of motivation and career progression, rather than unethical practices.
The event also featured a special tribute song performed by renowned gospel musician Grace Ashly in appreciation of the Ghana Police Service.
The IGP reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to integrity and accountability, urging the public to support ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening trust and professionalism within the Police Service.
