The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has officially launched the 2026 GHALCA Top 4 Tournament, with four of Ghana’s top clubs set to battle for the coveted trophy.
The colourful launch ceremony was held at the GHOne TV studios, with GHALCA executives and representatives of the participating clubs in attendance.
GHALCA Chairman, John Ansah, urged the four teams to approach every match with the seriousness it deserves while calling on players and officials to maintain discipline throughout the competition.
GHALCA Vice President, Phyllis Mensah, also highlighted the excitement fans can expect as the four clubs compete for the ultimate prize.
The association’s Administrative Manager, Oduro Nyarko, announced the fixtures for the three matchdays.
Matchday One – Wednesday, August 26
3:00pm: Gold Stars vs Medeama
6:00pm: Samartex vs Dreams FC
Matchday Two – Friday, August 28
3:00pm: Dreams FC vs Bibiani Gold Stars
6:00pm: Medeama vs Samartex FC
Matchday Three – Sunday, August 30
3:00pm: Medeama vs Dreams FC
6:00pm: Gold Stars vs Samartex
Oduro Nyarko also confirmed that, as was the case last year, drawn matches will be decided by penalty shootouts.
He explained that the shootouts are intended to sharpen the teams’ penalty-taking abilities ahead of the new season.
Football fans will be able to follow all the action live on GHOne TV and Agoo TV, with radio coverage also available on Starr 103.5 FM and Kasapa 102.5 FM.
The 2026 GHALCA Top 4 Tournament will take place from August 26 to August 30 at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Medeama SC, Samartex 1996, Dreams FC and Bibiani Gold Stars will battle for the title and the bragging rights as champions of the 2026 GHALCA Top 4 Tournament.
