In a heart-stopping finish, Zambia’s Patson Daka netted a last-gasp equalizer in the 92nd minute, securing a 1-1 draw against Mali in their Africa Cup of Nations Group A clash at the Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca.

Mali had dominated possession and created chances in the first half, but Zambia goalkeeper Willard Mwanza thwarted El Bilal Touré’s penalty attempt just before halftime, keeping the scores level at 0-0. The deadlock was eventually broken in the 61st minute when Lassine Sinayoko scored from a quick corner, giving Mali the lead.
However, Zambia’s determination paid off in the dying minutes. A pinpoint cross from Mathews Banda found Daka, who rose to head the ball home, beating Mali goalkeeper Djigui Diarra. The dramatic equalizer secured a point for Zambia, with both teams earning one point each in Group A.
