Manhyia Palace designated no-fly zone, drones and unmanned aerial vehicles banned.

Manhyia Palace and surrounding areas have been designated a strict no-fly zone for drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), effective immediately.

The directive was contained in a notice issued and posted on Facebook on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

According to the Palace, no drone or other unmanned aerial operation will be permitted within the designated area without prior and explicit authorization from the Palace or relevant authorities.

The Palace has warned that any unauthorized drone flight within the area could result in the confiscation of the equipment and may also lead to legal action.

Drone operators and members of the public who intend to conduct aerial operations within the area have therefore been advised to obtain the necessary authorization before proceeding.
