Entrepreneur and founder of Class Media Group (CMG), Seidu Agongo, has offered practical guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs, stressing that success often begins with starting small in businesses with constant demand.
Speaking in a recent social media post, Alhaji Agongo said that if he were starting life afresh with just GHS 2,000, he would invest in the sachet water business.
“Everyone drinks water, and they do so every single day,” he noted, pointing to the steady demand for basic, essential products.
According to him, many people tend to overcomplicate entrepreneurship. “If you want to succeed, enter a business space where a large number of people already need what you are offering,” he advised.
He further explained that global platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube generate billions of dollars largely because they serve massive audiences, underscoring the value of scale and demand.
Alhaji Agongo encouraged prospective entrepreneurs to reflect on one key question before launching any venture: “How many people actually need this product or service?”
He added that even spiritual principles highlight the importance of numbers, referencing the biblical saying that “where two or more are gathered, He is present,” which he described as a symbolic reminder of the power of abundance.
His remarks come amid growing discussions around African entrepreneurship, with increasing emphasis on starting modestly, understanding market needs, and building businesses that cater to everyday necessities.
