The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has urged revealed the constituency is the poorest in the Western Region. According the MP the constituency is lacking many basic infrastructural developments making life extremely difficult for inhabitants. Mrs. Cudjoe has however assured she will work extremely hard to change the narrative and called on all stakeholders to join hands in making the dream a reality.
Speaking to the media after touring some communities in the constituency, Mrs. Cudjoe appealed to various stakeholders to join hands in making the area better. She emphasized that the current state of poverty in the constituency is unacceptable and that collective efforts are needed to address the challenges facing the area.
Despite the daunting challenges, Hon. Cudjoe expressed her commitment to making a positive change in the constituency. She is determined to work tirelessly to improve the lives of her constituents and bring about development to the area.
The MP pointed to rural telephony, roads, education and healthcare, promoting rural electrification, improving sanitation, and reducing unemployment in the area.
