At least seven people have been killed and more than 30 others injured after a 14-year-old boy opened fire at a school in Thailand, targeting his grandparents and teachers.
Thailand’s Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said nine of the injured victims are in serious condition, describing the attack as “well prepared” with clear steps and objectives.

Authorities say the suspected shooter is also dead, although details surrounding how he died have not been disclosed.
Students who escaped the school in Nonthaburi, on the outskirts of Bangkok, described scenes of panic, with one student telling the BBC she saw a teacher being shot.
Another student said she and her friends were forced to climb over the school fence to escape during the attack.
Emergency responders have been deployed to the scene, with authorities urging the public to avoid the area around Debsirin School.
The incident is the second school shooting recorded in Thailand this year, raising renewed concerns over access to firearms despite restrictions on gun ownership.

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul says his government will introduce stricter firearms controls following the deadly shooting.
He says the proposed law will restrict the carrying of firearms, allowing only government officials on duty to carry guns.
