The Ghana Education Service (GES) has strongly condemned the assault on a teacher at Kade Senior High Technical School, assuring the public that those responsible will face full punitive action.
In a statement signed by Daniel Fenyí, Head of Public Relations at GES, dated Wednesday, December 10, the service noted a video circulating on social media showing the teacher, Michael Quayson, being attacked by a group of former students.
According to the statement, the GES management received an early report confirming that the incident occurred on October 5, 2025. The assault was allegedly in response to Mr Quayson’s strict supervision during the Christian Religious Studies WASSCE 2025 examination.
GES further explained that neither the school authorities nor its own management was informed of the incident when it took place.
Describing the attack as completely unacceptable, GES promised that the perpetrators will face appropriate sanctions under the law and GES regulations to ensure justice is served.
