Three people, including a woman, have been arrested after drones were allegedly flown over the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) headquarters in Accra.
Security personnel reportedly detected the drones on Thursday, October 1, while EOCO was investigating matters involving Manhyia South MP Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah. The suspects are assisting investigators to establish who operated the drones and why, according to the report.
The incident comes amid public attention on EOCO’s investigation into alleged unauthorised financial transactions and the dissipation of public funds involving the MP. EOCO and the police have not publicly identified the suspects or said whether charges have been filed.
