Yale School of Management (SOM), the graduate business school of Yale University, has appointed Togbe Afede XIV as Chairman of its Council of Global Advisors, effective February 16, 2026.
The Council, made up of global leaders from diverse professional backgrounds, advises the Dean and senior leadership on strategies to expand Yale SOM’s brand and international reach. Council members actively participate in meetings, contribute expertise, and support key initiatives of the school.
Togbe Afede XIV’s appointment recognizes his “admirable leadership, experience, life, and career.” As Chairman, he will guide the Council’s priorities, work closely with Dean Kerwin Charles, support global student recruitment, enhance the school’s international presence, and strengthen partnerships worldwide.
He will serve a three-year term with the possibility of renewal and will also act as an ex-officio member of the SOM Board of Advisors.
