Liverpool’s Premier League woes continues as Nottingham Forest beat them at home

Liverpool’s woes continued today as they crumbled to a 3-0 defeat at the hands to Nottingham Forest in a week 11 fixture at Anfield,marking their sixth defeat in seven Premier League games.

Forest who are trying to find their feet and mojo under the watchful eyes of head coach, Sean Dyche were unperturbed by Liverpool’s dominant possession display, the lads from London showed their clinical finishes in front of goal as they exposed Liverpool’s porous defensive set up.

Forest hit the front foot in the 33rd minute through Murillo who scored from a corner after curling the ball home through a wall of red players to put Forest 1-0 up before the half time interval.

Back from recess, it tool Savona 39 seconds for Savona to double Forests’ tally after turning home an assist from former Liverpool players Neco Williams.

With Nottingham in firm control of the game and not in a haste to take their legs off the pedal skipper Morgan Gibbs-White added his name to the score sheet in the 78th minute to give his side further daylight and perfect 3-0 cushion thereby keeping Liverpool at arm’s length.

By way of today’s loss at home Liverpool’s struggles lingers on, with Dutch coach Arne Slot accepting responsibility for his team’s awful display and as such the loss leaves the Merseyside club 11th in the league standings, eight points behind leaders Arsenal who face Tottenham Hotspurs tomorrow in the London Derby.
