Ghanaian Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has accused Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), Raymond Archer, of using his office to intimidate him during an investigation into a stolen vehicle.
In a social media live stream on TikTok, Shatta Wale recounted a visit to EOCO’s offices, alleging that he was harassed and left traumatized during the encounter. The visit followed a June operation in which EOCO officers impounded a 2019 Lamborghini Urus reportedly linked to criminal proceeds from Nana Kwabena Amuah — a Ghanaian serving an 86-month jail sentence in the U.S. for financial crimes.
“This is where I want you to take note — the reason I wrote Raymond Archer’s name on my Facebook page is because the approach he gave me in that office was the scariest thing that traumatized me up till now. But I’ve kept my cool,” Shatta Wale said.
The musician maintains his innocence and insists the luxury vehicle was legally acquired, describing the EOCO’s actions as targeted harassment.
