The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and Ghana Airports Company Limited have announced extension of working hours for Kumasi and Tamale Airports.
In a joint statement the two entities indicated the operational hours at the Prempeh I International Airport, Kumasi have been extended from 8-11pm while that of the Tamale International Airport is from 6-10pm.
According to the statement “a notice has been issued to Airmen by the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority to all airlines.”
“Domestic Airlines have been advised to increase their frequency to/from both airports” the statement read.
“The general public is advised to take note of the extension and be guided accordingly” the statement concluded
The move is believed to address complaints from the domestic flying public about limited flights to and from the two cities.
Passion Air and Africa World Airlines are the two domestic passenger Airlines operating in the country currently.
