Hearts of Oak Midfielder Rocky Dwamena Goes Through Successful ACL Surgery

Hearts of Oak midfielder, Rocky Dwamena is on the road to recovery after undergoing a successful Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) surgery. The operation took place Friday evening at the renowned Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, with medical staff confirming its positive outcome.

Dwamena’s unfortunate injury occurred during a Ghana Premier League matchday seven clash on October 26, 2025, when Hearts of Oak faced off against Bibiani GoldStars SC at the Accra Sports Stadium, ending in a 2-2 draw. The setback means the talented midfielder is expected to be out of action for an estimated eight to nine months as he embarks on an intensive rehabilitation program.

Having joined the Phobians from Dreams FC in August 2025, the former Asante Kotoko player had only managed to make four league appearances for his new club before this untimely incident. Hearts of Oak will undoubtedly be providing close supervision and support throughout Dwamena’s recovery journey, eager for his return to the pitch.
