Former Vice President Ghana Football Association Mr George Akwasi Afriyie has expressed his desire to see a change in leadership of the football governing body.
In an exclusive interview on the Sport Junction show on Kasapa 102.5 , George Afriyie expressed that it is his desire to see new leadership take charge and provide different directions for Ghana football.
According to George Afriyie, the current Kurt Okraku-led administration lacks the ideas to run Ghana football and believes new leadership can introduce fresh ideas, strengthen the administration of the game, and restore confidence among stakeholders.
“My interest is very simple, is to see new persons take over Ghana football, my interest is to have the leadership changed,” Mr Afriyie insisted.
When quizzed on if he’ll take part in future presidential elections, he argued that it was too early to tell but when the time is due, it will be revealed.
George Afriyie has signalled his continued interest in the future direction of Ghana football.
George Afriyie remains one of the prominent figures in Ghana football administration, having served as GFA Vice President before later pursuing the presidency of the association.
