The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued an urgent public notice, cautioning citizens against a fraudulent recruitment letter currently circulating on social media.
The fake letter claims that financial clearance has been granted for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff across the country.
In an official statement released on 21st September 2025, the GES clarified that the letter did not originate from the service and should be disregarded.
Management stressed that no such recruitment exercise has been announced, describing the document as fake.
According to the release, when any legitimate recruitment process begins, it will be communicated exclusively through official GES and Ministry of Education channels. The service further advised the public to remain vigilant and report any fraudulent activities linked to the fake document.
The statement, signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at GES, underscores the service’s commitment to protecting citizens from scams that exploit job seekers.
GES concluded its message by urging Ghanaians to treat the circulating letter with the seriousness it deserves—by dismissing it as a hoax and refraining from engaging with anyone presenting it as genuine.
