Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has cautioned MPs the legislature will not shield them from investigative bodies. According to the speaker the immunities and privileges enjoyed by MPs as a result of the office they occupy do not mean they cannot be subjects of investigations. The speaker has consequently assured the public no MP will be shieled from investigative bodies. The caution by the speaker comes on the back of alleged involvement of the MP for Asutifi North Ebenezer Kwaku Addo in the recent mob action against NAIMOs taskforce at Hwidiem. In a formal communication to the House, speaker Bagbin condemned the attack. The former Nadowli-Kaleo MP however commended the MP for willingly submitting himself to the police for investigations to commence. The speaker however reminded investigative bodies to be mindful of the privileges extended to MPs in the discharge of their duties
