Isaac Adongo, Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, has strongly refuted claims by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) regarding the so-called “Big Push” scandal, describing them as unfounded and politically motivated.
In a statement reported on April 7, 2026, Adongo criticized the NPP for what he called an attempt to smear the integrity of the government and distract the public from pressing national issues. He emphasized that such allegations lack substantive evidence and are intended to create confusion and discredit ongoing developmental initiatives.
The Upper East MP further accused the opposition party of using the scandal claims as a tactic to undermine public confidence in current government projects, asserting that these baseless accusations would not deter the government from executing its development agenda.
Adongo reiterated his commitment to holding the government accountable while urging citizens to focus on the actual progress being made in various sectors, rather than partisan misinformation.
