The Ghana Shippers’ Authority has recorded a 271.52 percent increase in its net surplus for 2025, rising from GH¢69.52 million in 2024 to GH¢258.30 million.
The figures are contained in the 2025 State Ownership Report by the State Interests and Governance Authority, SIGA.
According to the report, the Authority’s total income also increased significantly, reaching GH¢380.15 million in 2025, compared to GH¢191.76 million in revenue recorded the previous year.
Its total assets rose to GH¢979.92 million, bringing the Authority’s balance sheet close to the GH¢1 billion mark, while its accumulated fund stood at GH¢810.46 million.
The report indicates that the Authority’s surplus margin also improved considerably, increasing from 36.25 percent in 2024 to 67.95 percent in 2025.
The strong financial performance comes as the Ghana Shippers’ Authority, under the leadership of Professor Ransford Gyampo, continues efforts to protect and promote the interests of shippers while supporting efficiency in the country’s maritime and trade logistics sector.
The latest figures form part of SIGA’s broader assessment of the financial performance of Ghana’s state-owned enterprises for the 2025 financial year.
