Delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are going to the polls today, Saturday, August 15, to elect regional executives as part of efforts to reorganize and strengthen its structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The exercise follows the party’s earlier polling station and constituency-level elections.
The party has deployed national representatives to the various regions to supervise the elections and ensure that the exercise is conducted in accordance with its approved electoral guidelines.
The representatives are expected to promote transparency and fairness during the polls and submit reports on the conduct of the elections, including any irregularities recorded.
Regional Executive Elections Committees have also been directed to maintain professionalism, discipline, and adherence to the rules throughout the process.
Several aspirants are contesting positions, including Regional Chairman, First Vice Chairman, Second Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Organiser, Women’s Organiser, Youth Organiser, Communications Officer, and Nasara Coordinator.
Results are expected to be declared after voting ends and ballots have been collated in the respective regions.
