The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for a man captured in a viral video assaulting a suspect. The suspect a pastor had been apprehended over an alleged offence.
The Police Service has strongly condemned the incident, describing the conduct as unacceptable, and says efforts have been intensified to identify and arrest the suspect.
According to the Police, the suspect will be put before the court to face the law once apprehended.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are also being investigated.
The Service says all persons found culpable in connection with the incident will be subjected to due process and dealt with in accordance with the law.
The Police have urged the public to remain calm as investigations and efforts to apprehend the suspect continue.
