A fire has broken out at the girls’ dormitory of Wa Islamic Senior High School in the Upper West Region, prompting an emergency response from the Ghana National Fire Service.
Two fire tenders were dispatched to the scene, with firefighters battling to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to adjoining sections of the dormitory.
Reports indicate the fire is currently confined to one of the buildings within the girls’ dormitory, as firefighters work to bring the situation under control.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damage have not yet been established. There have also been no immediate reports of injuries.
Authorities are expected to provide further updates as emergency operations continue.
