NIA Launches 24-Hour Prestige Centre for Faster Ghana Card Services

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced the introduction of the NIA Prestige Centre, a premium service aimed at providing faster, more convenient and flexible access to Ghana Card registration and other identity-related services.

The first Prestige Centre will officially begin operations on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Labone in Accra.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Head of the Corporate Affairs Directorate of the NIA, Williams Ampomah Emmanuel Darlas on July 29,2026.

The statement further said the facility will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends, allowing members of the public to access Ghana Card services at any time that is convenient for them.

The NIA explained that the Prestige Centre is a fee-based service, with all services attracting the applicable approved charges. The Authority noted that the initiative is designed to complement its existing registration centres by offering an alternative for individuals seeking greater convenience, flexibility and faster service delivery.

The Authority further disclosed that the Labone facility is the first of several Prestige Centres to be established across the country, adding that additional centres will be announced as they become operational.

The Authority said it remains committed to making identity services more accessible, efficient and secure while delivering a customer-centred experience for all eligible applicants.
