Heath Goldfields LTD has donated three electricity transformers to the Prestea-Huni Valley Constituency in the Western Region as part of efforts to improve power supply and support socio-economic development in the area.
The transformers are expected to enhance electricity distribution to households, businesses and critical public institutions in Bogoso, Prestea and Wassa Nkran.

The donation followed a request by the Member of Parliament for Prestea-Huni Valley, Hon. Robert Wisdom Cudjoe, to the Managing Director of Heath Goldfields LTD, Mr. Patrick Appiah Mensah.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Hon. Cudjoe described the donation as a testament to the impact of effective collaboration between the private sector and public officials.
“This intervention demonstrates what can be achieved when industry and public leadership work together to address community needs,” he stated.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Prestea-Huni Valley, Hon. Dr. Matthew Kofi Ayeh, commended the company’s prompt response, noting that it highlighted the importance of promoting local content and Ghanaian participation in the management of the country’s natural resources.
“When Ghanaians lead strategic assets such as the Bogoso-Prestea Mine, they better understand community needs and respond with urgency,” he said.

Managing Director of Heath Goldfields LTD, Mr. Patrick Appiah Mensah, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the development of its host communities beyond its core mining operations.
“Our responsibility extends beyond mining. We will continue working with government, traditional authorities and our communities to deliver interventions that create lasting value and improve lives,” he assured.

The ceremony was attended by traditional leaders, the Member of Parliament, the Municipal Chief Executive, the Principal of Heath Goldfields LTD, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor II, the Managing Director, members of the company’s management team, community representatives
