YouTube sensation MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has tied the knot with South African content creator and author Thea Booysen.
The couple announced their marriage in a joint Instagram post, sharing photographs from their wedding day with the caption, “Found MrsBeast.”
According to US media reports, the intimate ceremony took place on Richard Branson’s private Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.
Donaldson, 28, proposed to Booysen on Christmas Day in 2024 and had previously said he wanted a small, private wedding despite being known for his extravagant online productions.
Wedding photos show Booysen wearing a lace floor-length wedding gown before changing into two other white outfits during the celebrations, while Donaldson wore a white tuxedo.
Describing the occasion, MrBeast called it “the best day of my life.”
With more than 500 million subscribers across his platforms, Donaldson is the world’s most-followed YouTuber. He rose to global prominence through large-scale challenge videos, philanthropy and high-stakes cash giveaways.
He is also the creator of the Prime Video reality competition series Beast Games, inspired by Netflix’s Squid Game, in which contestants compete for a multi-million-dollar prize.
Booysen, who is originally from South Africa, is also a YouTuber and Twitch streamer. She runs the TheaBeasty channel and is a published author.
Despite his success, Donaldson has faced controversy in recent years, including lawsuits involving allegations of workplace misconduct and claims from contestants over their treatment during Beast Games. He has also denied accusations that some of his viral giveaways and competitions were staged.
