The Upper East Regional Police Command has arrested a suspected masked armed robber and his accomplice following a robbery incident at Zorbisi, a suburb of Bolgatanga.
According to the Police, the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Jeffrey Alentis, allegedly broke into the residence of a female victim at Zaari in the early hours of Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

The suspect is said to have scaled the victim’s fence wall and entered her room through the kitchen while wearing a face mask. Police said he attacked the victim with pepper spray before making away with her laptop computer and Samsung Galaxy A07 mobile phone.

The suspect also allegedly forced the victim to disclose the password to her phone and her mobile money PIN before escaping.
Following an intelligence-led operation, the Police traced and arrested Jeffrey Alentis at his hideout in Zorbisi, Bolgatanga.
Police said the suspect led investigators to his alleged accomplice, identified as Moro Mohammed, a mobile phone seller, from whom the stolen items were retrieved.

The two suspects are currently in Police custody assisting with investigations.
