The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted a teacher of Bole Senior High School in the Savannah Region following allegations of sexual misconduct involving a student.
In a statement issued on June 16, 2026, GES said it had become aware of a disturbing video circulating on social media allegedly showing inappropriate conduct between the teacher and a student of the school.

The statement, signed by the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenyi, indicated that management has already initiated investigations to establish the facts surrounding the incident.
“Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has become aware of a disturbing video of an alleged sexual misconduct circulating on social media involving a teacher and a student of Bole Senior High School in the Savannah Region,” the statement noted.
GES said the teacher has been interdicted in line with its rules and regulations, pending the outcome of investigations into the matter.
The Service strongly condemned all forms of inappropriate relationships between teachers and students, describing such behaviour as unacceptable and contrary to professional ethics.
It reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on sexual misconduct, stressing that any staff found culpable after investigations would face appropriate disciplinary and legal action.
GES further assured the public of its commitment to safeguarding the welfare and protection of students across all educational institutions in the country.
