The University of Ghana is set to launch a new digital platform aimed at strengthening connections among its global alumni community.
The University will officially unveil the University of Ghana Global Alumni Network (UGA Network) App on May 28, 2026, as part of efforts to modernize alumni engagement and create a central platform for former students across the world.
According to the University, the app is designed to help alumni reconnect with classmates, update personal profiles, receive official university updates, and participate in alumni activities regardless of their location.
Officials say the platform will address long-standing challenges associated with fragmented alumni communication, which has largely depended on informal WhatsApp groups, social media platforms, and independent alumni associations.
The University noted that the app was developed to promote networking, mentorship, collaboration, and stronger institutional support among graduates.
The platform is being managed by the Institutional Advancement Directorate in partnership with the Information Technology Directorate, with emphasis on secure verification and protection of users’ personal information.
Ahead of the official launch, the University is encouraging alumni around the globe to register on the platform and renew their connection to the institution.
