The Perfect Pair: Dr. Felix Nana Sackey & Dr. Angela Affran Lead “Adehye Decide” Campaign

The Okuapemman School community is preparing for a pivotal election as the “Adehye Decide” campaign gains momentum. Leading the ticket are Dr. Felix Nana Sackey as Presidential candidate and Dr. Angela Affran as Vice Presidential candidate, united under the compelling slogan: “For Unity, Growth & Development.”

Dr. Felix Nana Sackey is a distinguished business and infrastructure leader with nearly four decades of experience. He currently serves as Managing Director and equity holder of companies in the mining sector. His leadership journey includes serving as Deputy Chancellor of Noble International Business University, where he contributed significantly to executive education and the development of Africa’s next generation of business leaders.

An accomplished academic, Dr. Sackey holds an MBA in Finance, a second Master’s degree in Applied Research, and a Doctorate in Business Administration. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana.

Dr. Angela Affran complements this leadership with over two decades of dedicated experience in Inclusive and Special Needs Education. A highly organized and resourceful professional, she is widely recognized across Ghana and the African continent for her work in empowering children and young adults with diverse learning needs.

Her impressive academic background includes a PhD in Special Education from the University of Education and a Master of Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, New York. She also holds a Diploma in Statistics from the University of Ghana, a certificate in Action Research for Citizen-Led Change from the Coady International Institute (Canada), and professional training in Project Management.

Dr. Affran’s work spans multiple countries, including Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Lesotho, South Africa, Ethiopia, and Nigeria. She has contributed technical expertise to the World Bank’s Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP) and collaborated with Inclusive Development Partners (IDP) to implement the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Toolkit in Ghana.

Honours and Distinctions

Dr. Affran’s excellence has earned her several prestigious recognitions. She was adjudged Best Teacher (Science and Mathematics category) in 2005 for the Akuapem North District. She is also a recipient of the Wolfensohn Family Scholarship at Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Ford Foundation International Fellowship.

Together, Dr. Sackey and Dr. Affran bring a wealth of experience and a shared vision to enhance engagement, accountability, and progress at Okuapemman School. Their proposed initiatives focus on:
