The Black Queens take on Russia in their second game at the ongoing Pink Ladies Cup happening in Dubai,UAE.
Despite the unrest in the Middle East between Iran, the USA, and Israel, the match is set to come off today, Tuesday, March 3, after Ghana’s consul in Dubai paid a visit to the team at their base and further assured them of their safety, which was later confirmed by the Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
Last Saturday, the Queens smashed Hongkong 4-0 in their opening game to get their tournament journey off to a super start under the guidance of head coach Kim Lars Bjornkegrenn as they gear up for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco later this month.
The Black Queens in the last WAFCON clinched bronze after beating defending champions South Africa on penalties.
