Asante Kotoko Ushers New Era With New Board Appointments

There’s some exciting news coming straight from Manhyia Palace as His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has officially unveiled the fresh faces who will be leading the charge for Asante Kotoko Sporting Club. A brand-new Board of Directors has been appointed to steer the club into its next chapter.

Taking the helm as the new Board Chairman is James Osei Brown, with Kwasi Osei Ofori stepping in as the Vice Chairman. They’ll be joined by Kofi Amoa-Abban, who has been named a Board Member.

This newly formed Board is jumping straight into action, taking immediate statutory oversight of the club. However, the current Interim Management Committee (IMC) isn’t going anywhere just yet; they’ll continue to handle the day-to-day management responsibilities until the current 2025/26 Premier League season wraps up.

The new Chairman has already shared his vision, assuring the loyal fanbase that the board is fully committed to bringing Asante Kotoko back to its rightful place at the top. He’s also rallied the management, urging them to really dig deep and push hard in these final weeks of the season.

It’s a new era and a fresh dawn for Kumasi Asante Kotoko as they look to get the engine coughing again and getting reasserting their pedigree as a powerhouse in Ghana football despite suffering recent set backs managerially coupled with on and off-field issues.
