The Ministry of Defence confirmed today that Sandra Baafi Boateng, 25, has been airlifted from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra for advanced medical care.
Ms Boateng was critically injured during a military recruitment stampede in Kumasi on 12 November 2025 and has remained unconscious since the incident. Despite months of treatment at KATH, medical personnel observed no significant signs of recovery, prompting the transfer.
The Ministry indicated that the move is part of ongoing efforts to provide the necessary medical attention for her critical condition. Ms Boateng continues to be closely monitored by medical specialists.
