Management of Swedru School of Business has condemned the alleged assault involving some of its students after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
School authorities presented three students captured in the viral video to the Swedru Divisional Police Command, following an engagement with the CID Director-General, Lydia Yaako Donkor.

In a statement dated Wednesday, February 25, 2026, the school said the conduct captured in the video was “unacceptable” and “does not reflect the values, principles, and standards of discipline upheld by Swedru School of Business.”
“We strongly condemn this act. We do not condone violence or any behavior that undermines the safety, dignity, and well-being of others,” the statement said.
The school rendered what it described as an “unqualified apology” to the Ghana Education Service, the Central Regional Directorate of Education, the Agona West Municipal Directorate of Education, the management and students of Awutu Obrachire Senior High Technical School, parents, and the general public.
Management also confirmed that it is “collaborating fully with the appropriate security and law enforcement agencies,” adding that the students involved are “currently with the law enforcement agencies.”
According to the statement, “appropriate sanctions will be applied based on the outcome of ongoing investigations,” while measures are being strengthened to prevent a recurrence of such incidents.
The school further appealed to the public “to remain calm and allow the appropriate authorities to complete their work,” assuring that it remains committed to maintaining “a safe and disciplined environment that fosters learning and mutual respect.”
