Police in the Ketu North Municipality have launched an investigation after a woman was found dead at the home of her alleged lover in Dzodze. The deceased, identified as Mama Ahama, was discovered at the residence of Christian Ahiadzro, 53, at Dzodze Kuli early on the morning of February 20, 2026.
According to reports, Mr. Ahiadzro raised the alarm after finding the woman unresponsive around 3 a.m. When police arrived at the scene, preliminary examinations indicated that there were no visible signs of physical violence on the body. The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear.
Sources indicate that the deceased and Mr. Ahiadzro were in a romantic relationship. Following the discovery, the woman was rushed to St. Anthony’s Hospital, where she was pronounced clinically dead by medical personnel. Her body was subsequently transported to Ho Teaching Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Police have confirmed that Mr. Ahiadzro is cooperating fully with investigators. Authorities are appealing to the public to refrain from speculation and assured that a thorough investigation will be conducted to establish the facts of the case.
The incident has sparked shock and concern within the Dzodze community, highlighting the need for vigilance in domestic and personal safety matters.
