Albert Amoah Returns to Asante Kotoko on a Loan Deal Till the End of the Season

Asante Kotoko have welcomed back Albert Amoah, who has rejoined the club on a loan deal from Al Ahly Benghazi for the rest of the 2025/2026 season. The 23-year-old striker left Kotoko for the Libyan side in October 2025 in a deal worth over $200,000, plus a $200,000 signing-on fee and a $20,000 monthly salary.

Amoah’s return is a big boost for Kotoko, who are looking to strengthen their attack. He was a key player for the Porcupines previously, scoring 16 goals in 30 league games and winning fans over at the Baba Yara Stadium. His experience and skills are expected to enhance Kotoko’s chances in the remaining games of the season.

Amoah’s move to Al Ahly Benghazi raised eyebrows, but it appears he was unable to settle due to a lack of playing time, leading to his loan return to Kumasi. With his familiarity with the team and the league, Amoah is likely to hit the ground running.
