Northern Ireland and Liverpool right-back Conor Bradley will miss the remainder of the season after sustaining a knee injury that requires surgery.
Scans have ruled out an ACL tear, easing initial fears. Medical results showed damage to the bone and ligament in his left knee.
The 22-year-old was stretchered off during Thursday’s goalless draw against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Bradley, a product of the Liverpool academy, seized his opportunity after breaking into the first team and was part of the club’s title-winning squad last season.
His injury comes at a difficult time for both club and country. Northern Ireland are preparing for World Cup play-offs, while Liverpool are pushing for a top-four finish after a challenging campaign.
