The Tema Regional Police Command successfully foiled an attempted robbery at Community 24, Adjei-Kojo District, Ashaiman Division, on Sunday, December 21, 2025, around 1:30 a.m.
Acting on intelligence received, the Ashaiman Divisional Police Intelligence Team responded promptly to a private residence where six masked and armed men were committing a robbery. Upon police arrival, the suspects opened fire, prompting the police to return fire. Three of the suspects were fatally wounded and later died, while the other three, believed injured, fled the scene.
Police recovered three face masks, three machetes, and an unregistered Royal 125 motorbike from the scene.
 The bodies of the deceased suspects have been taken to the Police Hospital for preservation, identification, and autopsy. Local hospitals have been alerted to report any gunshot wound victims to the police.
The Command commended the operational team for their swift action and urged the public to continue providing timely information to help maintain peace and security.
