Ghana Police Interdicts 5 Officers Over Unauthorized Use of Uniforms on Social Media

The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has interdicted five officers due to misconduct involving the unauthorized use of police uniforms on social media.
The interdicted officers, whose actions are currently under investigation are:
* No 45545 G/Sgt Samuel Agbemanyale
* No 50300 G/Cpl Isaac Mpere
* No 51816 G/Cpl Samuel Agbo
* No 56563 G/Cpl Charles Oduro
* No 14494 PW/Const Elizabeth Dicka Korko

According to a statement from the service the interdictions are effective immediately. All five have been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) for further investigation and the necessary disciplinary procedures.
The GPS re-emphasized its “strong commitment to discipline and professionalism. The service issued a strict warning that police uniforms must not be used for unauthorized purposes, especially on social media platforms.”

“Any officer whose conduct damages the reputation of the service will be subject to appropriate sanctions.” the statement concluded
