The 2025 GBSA Goalball National Championships has made history as the first-ever edition to feature all 16 regions of Ghana, with the Oti Region being the only exception.
The championships, held from December 4-7 at the University of Cape Coast’s Indoor Sports Complex, showcased exceptional talent and competitiveness among Ghana’s finest Goalball athletes.
Men’s Division Winners:
Eastern Region emerged victorious, defeating Upper East Region in the final to claim the 2025 Men’s National Champions title. John Arthur from Eastern Region was named Best Male Player.
Women’s Division Winners:
Volta Region secured the top spot, beating Ashanti Region in the final to win the 2025 Women’s Championship. Peace Awadzi from Volta Region was awarded Best Female Player.
The event was made possible through the support of Goldbod Ghana, Bank of Ghana, Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, and other sponsors. Goalball balls were distributed to regions lacking equipment, promoting nationwide development.
