The Black Queens have made an essential ascension in the FIFA World Rankings, moving 5 places to 62nd globally and rising to 3rd place in the CAF rankings.
The latest rise is as a result of their stupendous outing recently, which includes a 7-0 trashing win against Egypt in the WAFCON qualifiers thereby securing a qualification ticket for next year’s WAFCON tournament in Morocco.
Led by Swedish trainer, Kim Lars Björkegren, has nailed 22 points, establishing their steady progress since August.

On the other side of the coin WAFCON record holder and defending champions Nigeria sit atop the rankings, followed by South Africa while the Black Queens sit comfortably in third place.
The ranking serves as a massive boost ahead of the WAFCON championship, scheduled to come off in Morocco from March 17 to April 3,2026.

Kim Lars and his girls will build on this momentum and make a bold statement at the WAFCON.
