The Ghana Army, alongside the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, Customs, Excise Preventive Service, and Immigration Service, is set to conduct a show of force exercise on Thursday, 11 December 2025.
The exercise will take place at Independence Square and along major streets in Accra, beginning at 9 a.m.
According to a statement from the Ghana Armed Forces, the exercise is part of ongoing joint security preparations aimed at enhancing operational readiness, deterring criminal elements, and reassuring the public that Ghana’s security services are prepared to maintain peace and stability, especially as the festive season approaches.
Residents and commuters in Greater Accra should expect an increased security presence and temporary traffic slowdowns during the exercise.
