MP for Kpandai Matthew Nyindam Confident of Retaining Seat Despite Election Annulment

Kpandai MP Matthew Nyindam has expressed strong confidence in retaining his parliamentary seat if by-elections are held following the recent annulment of the 2024 Kpandai parliamentary election results. The High Court in Tamale annulled the December 7, 2024 election after a petition filed by National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate Daniel Nsala Wakpal, who alleged serious irregularities in the election process.

Speaking on Starr Today on Starr FM, Nyindam accused the governing party of trying to forcefully secure victory through the misuse of state resources. Despite this challenging outlook, he remains optimistic about his chances.

“I am very confident that when I go to the ground there and I talk to the people, the people know him, they know me, and they cast their vote for me. I am confident that with the advantage and everything, if it is the way that I should serve in the next parliament, I will come back and serve in the next parliament,” Nyindam stated.

He also added that, should he lose the by-election, he would still hold his head high and be proud of his efforts.
