The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has resumed its recruitment exercise in Accra, one week after a tragic stampede at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.
To ensure the safety of applicants, the GAF has designated eight sub-centres across five locations to handle the recruitment process. Applicants have been organized into batches to prevent overcrowding and improve order during screening.
Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) William Agyapong, alongside members of Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee led by James Agalga, have begun inspecting the various centres. Their first visit was to the El-Wak Stadium sub-centre.
These measures reflect the GAF’s commitment to conducting a safe and organized recruitment process following last week’s incident.
