Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has returned to the Akwatia Constituency to campaign for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate ahead of Tuesday’s [September 2] by-election.
Dr. Bawumia was in the constituency on Friday for the one-week observation of the late NPP MP, Ernest Kumi. Just two days later, on Sunday, he returned to embark on grassroots campaign activities in support of the party’s candidate.
He began the day with church visitations, where he introduced the NPP candidate to congregants and urged their support.
As part of the campaign tour, Dr. Bawumia, accompanied by the candidate, also paid a courtesy call on the Kusiman Hene, Nana Ntiamoah Kusi Boadu. He later engaged residents across several communities, appealing for their votes.
The former Vice President urged constituents to vote massively for Asumadu, stressing that this would allow him to continue the good works and legacy of their late MP, Ernest Kumi.
