Breaking: Agradaa Jailed 15 Years in Hard Labour for Fraud

Founder of Heavenway Champion International Ministry, Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Agradaa jailed 15 years in hard labour by the Accra Circuit Court for defrauding by false pretence.

The court, presided over by Her Honor Evelyn Asamoah, had earlier ordered a pregnancy test to be conducted on her before sentencing.

The judge handed down her sentence after the pregnancy test results returned negative.

Lawyer for Agradaa Richard Baffour had prayed the court against a custodial sentence arguing the convict is a mother of 5.

“We say so because the accused person is a mother of five, the first born is 24 years currently pursuing law in the university. A custodial sentence May shutter the dream of this young lady who wants to be a lawyer. The last born is just three years old and will need the care and attention of the mother” He argued.

The presiding judge was however not convinced thereby handing down the 15 years jail term.

The legal team of Agradaa is however expected to appeal the judgment of the Circuit Court

The fetish priestess turned pastor was found guilty of advertising a money-doubling scam, duping church members into giving her money for an all-night service at her Weija church in Accra.
