A pregnant pupil sitting for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) this year has gone into labor while sitting for the ICT paper today, Wednesday June 11, 2025 delivering a bouncy baby boy.
The incident happened at the Asenua Presbyterian Junior High School Examination Center at Mamponteng in the Kwabre East Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
A police woman who escorted her to attend to what she felt was a nature’s call during the first day of the examination noticed something suspicious and entered the washroom only to find her in labour.
The candidate was quickly conveyed to the headmaster’s office where she delivered her child.
Asenua Presbyterian Church pastor conveyed the pupil and her baby in his car to the Victory hospital where she is receiving medical attention.
