A 22-year-old man has allegedly died by suicide after reportedly killing his girlfriend at Akyem Kade in the Kwaebibirem Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The two deceased persons, whose names have been withheld, were found dead in a single room on Monday morning, February 2, 2026.
The young woman was discovered with severe head injuries. However, the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
The Ghana Police Service has visited the scene and launched investigations to establish the facts.
The bodies have been conveyed to the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
The deceased woman is survived by a three-year-old child.
