TAMALE, GHANA — The northern entertainment landscape and social media space have been set ablaze following the official remarriage of Queen Meela, the ex-wife of award-winning Ghanaian musician Fancy Gadam. Coming mere weeks after the “Total Cheat” hitmaker announced the dissolution of their relationship, the high-speed union has ignited fierce public debate, “wife snatching” allegations, and explosive accusations of cyberbullying.
Eyebrows were raised across social media when videos surfaced confirming that Queen Meela had tied the knot as the second wife of Alhaji Osman Masawudu, popularly known as Chairman Buga Buga, the Third National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Given the incredibly tight timeline between the public separation and the new marriage rites, online critics immediately tagged the politician as a “wife snatcher”.
However, Alhaji Osman Masawudu vehemently rejected the allegations during an exclusive interview with Sway TV. The NPP official stated that Fancy Gadam had already boldly and publicly announced the end of the union long before he ever met his now wife. Clarifying the lightning-fast timeline, Masawudu noted, “A big man like me doesn’t like dating”. He revealed that he met her exactly two months prior, bypassed any casual dating, and went straight to her parents to pay her traditional bride price and fulfill Islamic marriage rites.
And as the online chatter peaked, Queen Meela broke her silence to address her ex-husband’s post-divorce conduct, unleashing heavy emotional accusations against the musician. She expressed deep hurt over the hypocrisy of their split. While Fancy Gadam originally stated online that they were not enemies because they share a child, his actions behind the scenes told a different story. Queen Meela explicitly accused the music star of actively reposting and amplifying negative videos made by online bloggers who are insulting her, trashing her character, and calling her names.
The mother of one added that if the musician chooses to view her as an enemy and forget all the years of sacrifices she made to build his career, “that is his own problem”. She maintained she has no intention of airing their dirty laundry publicly and wants to move forward.
The drama has heavily split the Ghanaian showbiz community. While die-hard “Gadam Nation” fans continue to defend the artist, claiming the rapid remarriage validates their suspicions, neutral observers are calling out the musician for enabling the public humiliation of his child’s mother.
When fans recently flooded Queen Meela’s comment section begging her to set pride aside and return to the musician, her response was absolute, shutting the door firmly: “Unfortunately, there is no chance anymore.”
