Mfantseman MP and traditional teaders cut sod for ultra-modern 24-hour market in Mankessim

The Member of Parliament for Mfantseman, Hon. Ebenezer Prince Kojo Arhin, together with the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Eric Stanley Acquah, and the Mankessim Traditional Council, have officially cut the sod for the construction of the Mankessim Ultra-Modern 24-Hour Economy Market.

This project is part of President John Dramani Mahama’s 24-hour economy initiative aimed at boosting trade, creating jobs, and stimulating economic growth nationwide..

Hon. Arhin urged the contractor, Brison Construction Company Ltd, to complete the project within the 36-month timeline and appealed for the prioritization of local labor and materials to create employment for the youth.

The Paramount Chief of Mankessim, Osagyefo Amanfo Edu VI, praised the government’s commitment to development, revealing that 20 acres of land have been allocated for the market.

The MCE also announced that funds have been released by the World Bank for the Ghana Green City Project and assured that abandoned projects within the municipality will be completed.

The new market is expected to enhance trade activities and improve the local economy significantly.
